Why are curves calming? I've never encountered such a precise simple book on composition. She starts off with basic shapes, and using the example of Little Red Riding hood, explains w Illustrator: A remarkable book!
It'll likely take you less than a day to get through, and you'll learn so much! Contrast enable perception; wide spaces engender tension. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
It's simple, straight forward, yet makes so much sense. Wouldn't that be a fun book club, different than the usual stuff?

So I figured maybe if I tried teaching other people how to make pictures, I might learn myself. This would make a great book club pick. Introduces readers to the structural elements that make the pictures we view so emotional for us.
How do we show that the woods are a terrifying place? If you are an aspiring illustrator and can only afford to buy one book this year, make this the book.
